This is a short safari, that will cover one of the among the smallest parks in Uganda near the Congo boarder and Rwenzori Mountains, it has the riches Flora and fauna in Africa, with its fantastic hot springs, forest walks, rich in bird viewing and primates. The park activities can be combined with the protected reserve of 500sq km, opportunity for night game drive, chimpanzee trekking, boat ride to Lake Albert to search for the shoe bill and water birds, other mammals can be sight that include Hippopotamus forest Elephants, buffalos and lots of Uganda kobs.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Kampala capital city – Semuliki National park.
Depending where you shall be picked from, depart early from you place to Semuliki National via Mityana and Mubend, lunch break in Fort portal town at Garden Restaurant; before arrival here in the town, a chance to look to the well organised tea estates and factories, look out for the workers harvesting a chance to take a good photo shot. After lunch proceed to visit “Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru” Caves and the craters before proceeding to arrive for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Activities at Semliki national park
Morning Game drive at the reserve searching for different early morning cats and antelopes, this is a breathtaking experience that rewards birders and nature lovers. The drive takes one up to the river Semuliki the only one of its type in East Africa. After lunch, proceed to sempaya hot springs, also a chance to visit the integrated Ntandi pygmy village to see the lifestyles of the Bushmen. You can also participate in a dance with these early inhabitants of the forest, return for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Semliki National Park / reserve – Kampala Capital city
After your breakfast return back to Kampala via Mubende mityana road with a lunch stop at Mubende town or with your packed lunch then proceed to Kampala / Entebbe to catch your flight.
