ITINERARY

Day 1: Journey to Kibale Forest National Park
You will be picked up by our guide and set off for Kibale National Park via Fort portal.
Have a stop over at Mubende to view the famous Nakayima Tree, which is one of the oldest trees in Uganda and is believed to house the Spirits of the Bacwhezi
Arrive in Fort portal on time for lunch and then spend the afternoon relaxing while waiting for the next day to track Man’s closest cousins. Dinner and Overnight at Ndali Lodge / Rwenzori view guest house / Kanyaankyu ecological site.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Bird watching
Have an early Breakfast and then set off for Chimp tracking, a chance to see other primates including the Grey cheeked Mangabeys, White and Red Colobus monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, L’hoestes plus many small insects, butterflies and birds. Get back to your lodge/Hotel for lunch and in the afternoon, take a visit to Bigodi swamp Ecotourism site for Bird watching, a chance to see various species of Flora and Fauna. Dinner and Overnight at Ndali Lodge / Rwenzori view guest house / Kanyaankyu ecological site.

Day 3: Journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Past Breakfast, set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park with a game drive enroute, a chance to see Elephants, Hyenas, Waterbucks, Buffaloes, Antelopes and Leopards. You will arrive on time for lunch and relax as you prepare for the afternoon launch cruise. The two hour launch cruise starts on the Kazinga channel and into Lake Edward giving visitors a chance to view possibly the highest concentration of Hippos, plus many other animals drinking at the water’s edge. This is also an excellent platform for photography, game viewing and bird watching with over 550 resident bird species. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya safari lodge / Kyambura Game Lodge / Jacana Lodge / Hippo Camp / Simba safari camp / Institute of Ecology.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive /Transfer to Kisoro
Rise up early for breakfast before setting off for the morning game drive, great chances of viewing the cape Buffalo, Hyenas , Leopards, Elephants, Lions, waterbucks and many other species of animals and birds.
Get back to the lodge for a lunch break before proceeding to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector famous for its Mysterious tree climbing lions. Chances of seeing Buffaloes, Hippos, Topi, Elephants, Kobs, Antelopes and Water bucks. On arrival, relax around the lodge and then set off for an encounter with the Local people, Pygmies locally known as the Batwa and be entertained by their traditional dances. Dinner and overnight at Birds Nest / Kisoro tourist Hotel.

Day 5: Journey to Rwanda
Past Breakfast, set off for Rwanda through the rolling Hills and terraced landscapes of Kisoro. Have lunch enroute before heading off to the Uganda Rwanda boarder and then into Rwanda.
Dinner and overnight at Volcanoes Lodge / Sabinyo Silverback Lodge / Gorilla nest Camp / Kinigi Guest house / Muhabura Lodge.

Day 6: Rwanda Gorilla Tracking in Parc Des Volcans
Have an early Breakfast before heading off to the park headquarters for briefing before the Tracking. The time taken to track these few remaining apes will depend on where they built a nest the previous night. You are allowed an hour in the company of these great apes, the tracking can be tedious and therefore requires patience and endurance but coming face to face with Man’s shy cousins is worthwhile. Carry Packed Lunch. Drive to Kabale arriving late in the evening.
Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort / Bushara Island Camp / Heritage Lodge / Arcadia Cottages.

Day 7: Journey back to Kampala
Have a Leisurely Breakfast and set off for Kampala, with Lunch enroute in Mbarara Town. Stop over at the Equator and participate in the water experiment where you get to know changes in your body weight while at the equator, continue to Mpambire Drum village for craft shopping and a chance to buy a locally made drum. Proceed to Kampala arriving late in the evening for Dinner and Overnight Stay.
