ITINERARY
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Get going to Bwindi impenetrable National park via Mbarara, Kanungu, Rukungiri to Buhoma, enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way as you drive. Arrive late in the evening and relax around the lodge as you prepare for the Gorilla tracking the next day. Dinner and overnight Mahogany springs, gorilla safari lodge, Gorilla resort,Buhoma community,Nshongi Gorilla camp/Gift of nature
Day 2: Gorilla tracking adventure
Wake up to an early breakfast and go for a briefing by UWA officials before going for tracking. Tracking the gorillas is in the thick forest and takes approximately 2-10hours. Remember to carry packed lunch. Expect to see chimpanzees, black and white Colobus monkeys plus various bird species like the rare shoebill stock and butterflies. Get back to your lodge or hotel for Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return back to Kampala
Have a leisurely breakfast and then set off for Kampala with lunch enroute in Mbarara. Make a stopover at the equator for photography and participate in the water experiment to know changes in your body weight while at the equator continue and stop at Mpambire drum village for souvenirs and a chance to buy a locally made drum. Dinner and overnight in Kampala.
Day 4: Kampala city tour /Transfer to Nairobi
Past breakfast, go for a tour around the city to buy some souvenirs, get back to your hotel for lunch and then set off for Entebbe to catch up with your flight to Nairobi. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge in Nairobi.
Day 5: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive down the floor of the Rift Valley to the top of the famous Masai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch and then take an afternoon drive into the surrounding area to see some wildlife for which the Mara is famous. Expect to see Gazelle, Zebra, Cape Buffalo, Elephants, Cheetah, Hippos and Crocodiles along the River Banks.Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/Mara Serena Lodge/Keekorok Lodge etc
Day 6: full day exploration of Masai mara game reserve
Following breakfast, go for a morning game drive in the Masai Mara and then after lunch go for an afternoon game drive.
Optional Activities include;
1. Hot Air Balloon safari
2. Visit to local Masai village
3. Nature walks
4. Day fishing expedition to Lake Victoria
Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa lodge/Mara Serena lodge
Day 7: Return back to Nairobi
Have a leisurely breakfast before setting off for Nairobi where you will arrive on time to catch your flight home.
