Day 1: transfer from Kampala – Mount Elgon National Park
Drive from Kampala heading East words via Jinja and Tororo towns to Mount Elgon located in Eastern Uganda near Mbale Town. The drive to this park will take a total of 4 hours before your arrive to Mbale town for Lunch, then later proceed to the base of the mountain ready for next days hiking. This mountain is an extinct volcano with the largest in Uganda. The beautiful cliffs, gorges, caves, and waterfalls can be seen here on the mountain. Arrive to check in and a rest at your chosen hotel.
Day 2: Start of the hike from Kapkwai on Mt. Elgon
Wake up relaxed with enough energy to add from breakfast that shall be served this day to you, visit the exploration center at Kapkwai in the Chebonet valley and take the Mountain Bamboo Trail walk for 7km crossing the River and near by gorge, the days hike will end here today with your lunch, Relax, dinner and overnight at the Camp.
Day 3: Second day hike continues to Sasa Trail on Mount Elgon
After breakfast continue on this day to the Sasa Trail to see beautiful landscapes on the high altitude and moorland, after this days adventure return to your Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Sippi falls walk – return Kampala or Entebbe
You will have your breakfast, go for a sippi falls walk and later head to Kampala arriving later to you hotel or home in the evening.
